Best Interior Design Companies in Dubai (2027 Guide)
Dubai has a huge number of interior design and fit out companies, ranging from small boutique studios to the full on contractors that will deliver you a complete villa. They vary enormously in how they work, how they charge and what a quote actually covers. A studio that just does the design is a very different proposition to a company that will design, get the permits and build the project.
This is a guide to eight companies that do residential work in Dubai. It looks at their models of operation, has their contact details, outlines their typical pricing and sets out the checks that you need to make on any company prior to signing a contract.
What Does an Interior Design Company in Dubai Do?
The scope of course varies from company to company. On the simpler end of the scale they’ll put together a concept, do the layouts and the 3D visuals. On the other end of the scale they’ll be managing the entire project from the very first site visit right through to handover. Common services include:
- Space planning and layout design
- Concept design, mood boards and 3D visualization
- Material, lighting and furniture selection
- Technical drawings and approvals with building management and authorities
- Construction and fit-out, including joinery, flooring, ceilings and MEP work
- Furnishing, curtains and final styling
- Project supervision and snagging at handover
Not every company will do every item. Some outsource the construction and some won’t do the permits. Checking this early will avoid the vast majority of the cost and timing problems that crop up later.
How We Chose These Companies
This is a shortlist not a ranking. There is no one company that is the best choice for every home so the list covers a range of budgets, styles and working models.
- Each company does residential in Dubai.
- Services and facts come from the company’s own site or from a public listing rather than from other ranking pages.
- Where there was any disagreement in the sources (for instance on a phone number or a founding year) that detail was simply omitted.
- Muse Design publish this guide and are in it so the same checklist was applied to each and every one of the entries including the “worth asking’ note.
Details were checked in Nov 2026. Fees, offices and phone lines all change so it’s worth checking with the company itself if anything important is on the line.

Which Type of Company Fits Your Project?
In practice interior design in Dubai covers the entire spectrum from picking paint colours right through to running a construction site. The various companies will offer different bits of that and the bit you buy will determine how much of the work you do yourself.
Design-Only Studios
You end up with the concept, the layouts, the 3D visuals and the drawings. You then engage a contractor to build it. The owner has more control in that scenario and can compare contractor quotes etc but you’re then also in the position of having to co-ordinate between two companies if anything goes wrong.
Design-and-Build Firms
One company design and build. That’s the model adopted by Muse Design, Algedra, RadyInterior and Zen Interiors (all of whom offer a turnkey or design and build service). That removes the need for coordination as there is one contract and one team to deal with. The downside of course is that you’re reliant on a single company for both the design and the build quality.
Contractor-Led Fit-Out Companies
These firms start with the construction and add the design. They’re the sort of company you’d go to if you already had your drawings or a very clear brief and essentially just needed a company you could rely on to get it built on time and on budget.
Luxury Boutique Studios
Studios such as Accouter work with a relatively small number of clients and specialise in high end materials and sourcing. The fees are typically higher and the design process is longer. That can be ideal for a large private residence, but is rarely the most cost effective route for a rental apartment.
Best Company by Project Type
These are just starting points rather than conclusions. They’re there to help in the creation of a shortlist, upon which you would then go on to ask each company for a fully finished project of the type in question.
| Your Project | Good Companies to Start With |
|---|---|
| Apartment refresh or renovation | Muse Design, Zen Interiors, Immersion Interior Design |
| New villa from shell and core | Algedra, RadyInterior, Muse Design |
| Palace-scale or classical villa | Antonovich Design, Havelock One Interiors |
| Ultra-luxury or international clients | Accouter, Havelock One Interiors |
| Tight deadline or tight budget | RadyInterior, Muse Design (two options per proposal) |
| Design with 3D visuals before you commit | Muse Design, RadyInterior, Algedra |
How to Choose the Right Interior Design Company in Dubai
Start With Your Property, Not the Portfolio
A massive villa project tells you absolutely nothing about how a company would deal with a 900 sq ft apartment in a tower with very specific building rules. You need to establish the property type, the size, the budget and the deadline first. The portfolios should then be assessed on the basis of similar projects only.
Look at the Process, Not Just the Photos
Photos will show you the outcome but not the methodology. Useful questions are ones such as who the site is visited by, how frequently the updates are issued, how the pricing of the updates works and what happens if a material is delayed. Clear answers to these questions are a good indicator of a well established process.
Ask Who Handles Permits
The vast majority of work involving wall work, electrics, plumbing or air conditioning will require building management approval (and frequently approval from Dubai Municipality or some other authority). Find out whether the company will prepare and submit the requisite paperwork and whether the time taken to obtain approval is factored into the timescale.
Get a Line-Item Quote
Published guides give you turnkey fit-out prices anywhere from the region of AED 150 to 450 per sq ft for standard finishes right up to AED 1,500 and beyond for the luxury end of the market. A single figure therefore tells you absolutely nothing. You need to get a quote which is broken down by joinery, flooring, MEP, lighting and labour and you need to check whether VAT, permits and furniture are included.
Meet the Person Who Will Run Your Site
The sales team will present the project, the site manager is the one who actually runs it. Speaking to the site manager prior to signing off gives you a much better idea of what the job is really like.
Read the After-Handover Terms
The defects liability period is normally 6 to 12 months and the contract should specify that, and who you’re to contact in the event of a failure. A company that dodges the question is a risk after final payment.
How Much Do Interior Design Companies in Dubai Charge?
There is no official price list. The figures below are taken from the 2026 published guides of various Dubai design and fit-out companies (so they’re indicative of the market rather than being in any way a substitute for written quotes).
| Pricing Type | Published Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Design fee | 10 to 20 percent of construction and procurement cost | Common on larger and luxury projects |
| Small apartment design package | About AED 10,000 to 60,000 | Design only, build is extra |
| Turnkey fit-out, essential finishes | About AED 250 to 450 per sq ft | Durable, budget-conscious materials |
| Turnkey fit-out, premium finishes | About AED 450 to 800 per sq ft | Custom joinery and designer finishes |
| Turnkey fit-out, luxury | About AED 800 to 1,500 per sq ft | Bespoke stone, smart home, top-grade MEP |
Quotes should also indicate whether VAT, permits, building deposits and furniture are included. A contingency of 10 to 15% is normally recommended for latent conditions and changes.
Red Flags to Watch For
- A lump sum quote with no breakdown.
- A timeline which is considerably shorter than any of the other companies cited, with no explanation given.
- A big deposit required prior to design being approved.
- A portfolio consisting entirely of renders, no photos of actual finished rooms.
- Materials described in the loosest of terms (e.g. “Italian marble” with no stone, no supplier, no thickness).
- No clear answer as to who deals with the permits and approvals.
- Reviews that all sound the same or appear within a very short space of time.
One or two of these don’t in themselves mean a company is bad. A few of them together should be enough to make you slow down.
Final Thoughts
There is no one interior design company that is the best for every home in Dubai. The right company will vary from property to property, will depend on your budget, the style you’re after and how much of the process you want to be involved in. You can have a design only studio, you can have a design and build company or you can go with a luxury boutique practice. Each of those will be solving a different problem.
A sensible approach is to shortlist two or three companies, look at the finished projects of the same type, get line item quotes and confirm who deals with the permits, site supervision and the after handover repairs. That’s the sort of thing that will tell you far more about a company than a portfolio ever could.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which is the best interior design company in Dubai?
It really depends on your project. Muse Design, Algedra, RadyInterior and Zen Interiors are the sorts of firms that would do a lot of your homes. Havelock One, Accouter and Antonovich Design are the ones that would be more geared towards the higher end. The finished projects that are most similar to yours are the ones you should be looking at.
How much does an interior design company charge in Dubai?
Published 2026 guides cover a very wide range, from around AED 150 to AED 450 per sq ft for standard turnkey work up to AED 1,500 or more for the luxury end of the market. Design only packages for small apartments are quoted at a lot lower figure (in the tens of thousands of dirhams).
Should I hire a design-and-build company or separate firms?
A design and build company gives you one contract and one point of responsibility. You can have more price control with a number of separate firms, but you’ll have to coordinate them yourself.
Do interior design companies in Dubai handle permits?
Many do, though not all. You need to ask whether the permits, building consents and deposits are included and who actually submits them.
How long does an interior design project take in Dubai?
It varies depending on the size and extent of the project. A small apartment can take a few weeks once the approvals have been obtained whereas a villa will generally take several months. You should ask for a written timescale that includes the design and the permit stages.
Can I visit a company’s finished projects?
Often yes (with the client’s permission). If a company won’t show you any actual homes, just renders, that’s a red flag.
