Sharjah Museums Authority Brings Summer to Life with Cultural Camps

Sharjah Museums Authority has officially kicked off its Summer Season 2026, presenting a variety of educational programmes, training sessions, family activities, interactive experiences and temporary exhibitions for children, youth and families at its museums. The summer programme is designed to support the museum as a hub of learning, creativity and discovery, and provide fun activities during the school holidays.

The season will kick off on 13–16 July 2026 with the 18th edition of Sharjah Museums Ambassadors Programme, which will end with a closing ceremony on 20 July 2026. The programme is tailored to youngsters in the age of 13-17 years and aims to enhance guiding skills, communication, presentation, and public speaking while allowing them to have hands-on experiences in three museums in Sharjah

In parallel with the ambassadors programme, there is the Happy Holiday Summer Camp, which will run from 13 July to 20 August 2026 for children aged 7–12. They will be involved in creative workshops and educational activities that will incorporate heritage, arts and science, creating new skills and encouraging curiosity and creativity in an interactive museum setting. 

Sharjah Museums Authority Expands Summer Learning Experience

Sharjah Museums Authority will also be hosting some special workshops this Jul,y such as “From the Heart of the Palm” at Hisn Khorfakkan on 4 July, “The Gilded Horse Bridle” at Sharjah Archaeology Museum on 5 July, and “Moon Day” at Sharjah Science Museum on 19 July, where guests will learn about astronomy and space through interactive activities. 

Sharjah Aquarium will also host the Junior Aquarist Programme (3 to 6 August) for kids aged 9 to 13, and the Young Calligrapher Programme (3 to 6 August) at Al Qasimia SchoolMuseum of Education, offering hands-on sessions on Arabic calligraphy and Kufic script. Families can also enjoy the Summer is Better with Family programme and the Mould Story workshop at the Resistance Monument on 22 August. Visitors will also be able to explore the permanent interactive exhibits of the Little Archaeologist Hall, Sharjah Aquarium’s live marine show, and over 50 hands-on exhibits at Sharjah Science Museum, in addition to temporary exhibitions that can be found all over Sharjah museums.
