UAE National Orchestra Introduces Tashyeed Initiative to Develop Young Emirati Musicians

UAE National Orchestra

The UAE National Orchestra officially kicked off the new Tashyeed initiative to groom and nurture the future generation of Emirati musicians. The programme has been designed to foster locally-grown musical talent and opportunities for young musicians to pursue a music career.

The campaign was launched as part of the UAE’s broader strategy to foster a sense of cultural identity and promote youth engagement in the cultural industry. Young musicians will be guided by experienced music professionals and orchestra members through workshops, educational programmes and professional mentoring.

The programme’s officials said it is designed to “save musical history and promote contemporary artistic expression” for the country. Overall, the project is expected to provide opportunities for talented Emirati youth to have greater access to music education and performance opportunities throughout the UAE.

Supporting the Future of Emirati Music

The UAE National Orchestra is convinced that the Tashyeed project will contribute greatly to the development of a robust cultural future for the UAE. The programme will promote the investment of young talent to motivate more Emiratis to pursue careers in music, performance and creative arts.

The launch of the initiative also demonstrates the UAE’s increasing emphasis on cultural development and the creative industry. In recent years, the country has implemented several initiatives to promote artists, musicians and cultural institutions as part of its long-term national vision.

The programme is designed to provide practical training, live experience and opportunities for collaboration with established musicians to young people selected to be a part of the programme. Experts believe that initiatives such as Tashyeed can pave the way for a sustainable future of the local music industry, not only for Emirati talent, but also to promote it on regional and international music platforms.
